Hello everyone! My name is Winnie, and I am a double major in English Literature and Media Studies. I guess I'll just write a little something about myself for this test post. I currently intern for a non-profit, non-partisan organization that screens documentaries to educate young people and press/influencers about critical social issues. I am their "Social Media Intern," so the Internet is extremely vital for my daily responsibilities. Not only do I have to update the organization's Facebook and Twitter accounts everyday but I also have to do online research about the social issues presented in the films. Since we do not have an official office, communication is done via e-mail and Skype. So yes, the Internet plays a crucial role in my life.
Other than that, I spend most of my free time (aside from schoolwork) watching documentaries on Netflix, obsessively updating my Pinterest pinboards and constantly looking for internships related to journalism and/or documentary filmmaking.
So that's a little something about me. I'm interested in learning more about others throughout the semester!
