My name is Danielle. I'm a 19 years old. I was born in Brooklyn and raised on Long Island but for the past year and a half, I've lived at the Brookdale dorms in Manhattan. I am a sophomore. I declared a Media Studies major at the very beginning of Fall Semester so I'm currently grandfathered into the older 24 credit Media Major major but new majors in the department were announced this fall and I'll graduate as a Emerging Media Major, with a concentration in Interactive or Web Production

I enrolled in this class because I grew up with the World Wide Web and adore computers and internet culture. I think it's amazing to reflect upon how the world has changed in my lifetime. I hope that a understanding of the internet will help me shape its future be it as a school librarian, a computer program developer or both. Until then, I have been known to waste time in cyberspace here and here and here.
