I'd Prefer an Automatic :)

Like the metaphor of people wanting to change their own oil and and drive a stick-shift car, I'd prefer for my car to be working just like my computer and mobile devices without thinking about it too much. For this reason, I'd prefer to be restricted and not worry about malware and threats over my computer and mobile device. Touching base on the topic of app stores and their app policies, I recently made the switch from a Windows phone to an iPhone 4S. Why do you ask? It seriously annoyed me how much bull**** apps the Windows Marketplace had. Although Timothy Lee didn't talk about the Windows Marketplace in his article, it is pretty obvious that Windows has almost the same considerations for apps as Google does as well. I love having apps with function and purpose to choose from without any worry that any one app that I download will fry my phone to its death.
When it comes to computers, I won't lie, I am a Windows user but this is only because I don't believe I should pay a bunch of dollars for a Mac (sorry to say!). I do believe that the Mac is more efficient in keeping away the malware and viruses and for this reason, price not being a problem, I'd prefer a Mac. Yes, it has its pretty Apple restrictions but I'd rather be protected from the Internet and all these horrendous bugs taking my information for Bob knows what, I just dislike how non-user-friendly the Macs are. I'd have to shut myself in my room for a week to learn the "Tips and Tricks" to a Mac to absolutely love the Mac (Yes, I know it takes less than a week to learn, I'm only joking!)

Just in my own opinion and a bit off topic, I think its very ironic how Robert Morris had come to create the first worm to get punished for it to then create a dot-com with his friends in '95 to then sell it to Yahoo! for $49 million.....Just when he probably thought his career was over, it was actually the beginning and probably the best thing he did (for himself of course!)

In Conclusion, most people are just becoming lazier these days and prefer to just use their devices without having to think about it for one bit. For this reason, most people don't know how things function while you still have your dedicated, determined 'puter heads that will want to toy and poke around their devices to see how far they can take it (ex. "jail-breaking"). I believe that Apple has just accommodated the "lazier" group of us and I believe there is nothing wrong with that. This is why Apple sales don't lie! :P
