TEST Post!

Being that I am a Media Studies Major here at Hunter, I was very interested in taking Internet & Society simply because the internet is being used now more than ever before. News and information is traveling around the globe at lightning speed because of this connection we all share behind our phone and computer screens. News and other media outlets depend on the internet to feed information to consumers. I've recently started a "Twitter" account just to see what all the buzz is about. It's easy to see how celebrities, politicians, companies, and everyday people can get hooked on this social networking site!  The website makes it easy to promote ideas and thoughts and get them across to others who share the same interests and concerns. As for now, I will certainly continue to explore it.
